Balmoral Story

SOLD

200mm x 200mmm

Oil on board unframed

Balmoral holds a special place in many people's hearts.

This commission was a special gift for a family member who spends peaceful time at the Bather's cafe most mornings. Here we gaze across from 'the island' to the windows of the Bather's cafe.

What special place makes you or someone else happy?

Barry's Story

SOLD

960 x 960mm/16 tiles 200x200mm

Barry's Story was commissioned by Barry's wife for a special birthday. She wanted to combine two places close to his heart in one artwork, similar to Balmoral Stories

The panels show Barry's love for the landscapes of Balmoral Beach, where he and his wife swim everyday and the beauty of the flowers in his garden.

Balmoral Stories

SOLD

960 x 960mm/16 tiles 200x200mm

Balmoral Stories is the story of my childhood wandering the idyllic playground of Balmoral Beach with all the neighbourhood kids.

This piece focuses on "The Island" as it is know to the locals, where we would play hide and seek and spend many hours exploring the rock pools and shady places to rest and dream.

The buyer was a person who raised her family there! The artwork sits proudly in her home as a reminder of those happy days of watching her children grow in the days when Balmoral was a sleepy place.

Zebras

SOLD

430mm x 430mm

Oil on canvas unframed

Pink Zebras was a very heartfelt commission for a mum and her little girl who wanted a painting of pink zebras for a special reason close to their hearts.

We are touched beyond belief... this beautiful talented artist painted this stunning piece of art of a mummy and baby zebra for our family home. The zebra is colourful and represents the beauty of being a zebra. People with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome are called zebras because our condition is not black or white...we are not as we seem. Katie brought not only her compassion, empathy, talent and unconditional love to this beautiful painting but she brought the zebras to life! Dawn Beeston 2018

Katie's art is incredibly unique and provokes a sense of gratitude and mindfulness. The artistic journey with Katie was uplifting, rewarding and memorable. Amanda Lennon 2018

This was a commissioned piece for a gift for Christmas. The client wanted a native flower that was vibrant and exotic. I have a forest of kangaroo paws in my front garden around a water feature, that are constantly being revived by native birds collecting their nectar. They are luscious to paint and fitted the brief beautifully.
